FX reshuffles as Clemens leaves

FX Networks in the US is expanding the role of two of its original programming executives as Nicole Clemens leaves to become a manager and producer at Anonymous Content.

Gina Balian, previously exec VP of limited series, has been named exec VP of series development for FX Networks and FX Productions, overseeing all original series development for FX Networks. She adds drama and comedy development to her duties.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Frank will add development, management and distribution for FX Productions original series produced for non-FNG outlets to his responsibilities. His new title is executive VP of FX current programming and FX Productions.

Both execs will continue reporting to original programming presidents Eric Schrier and Nick Grad.

During her time at FX, Clemens – a former ICM exec – oversaw development of original series including Atlanta, Better Things, You’re the Worst, Baskets, Man Seeking Woman, The Strain and the upcoming drama Snowfall and Mayans.

“As a partner at ICM, Nicole was an extraordinary representative, and she followed that career to become a highly regarded production executive at one of the most dynamic and innovative networks on TV,” Anonymous Content said in a statement.
