Fuse, Complex strike content deal

Complex Networks’ digital show Sneaker Shopping will air on Fuse

Fuse Media in the US and multi-channel producer Complex Networks have agreed a partnership to distribute each other’s content on their respective pay TV and digital platforms.

As part of the agreement, Fuse will begin airing a weekly 90-minute programming block from Complex Networks featuring shortform digital series.

These will be drawn from Complex’s slate of more than 20 weekly digital shows, such as Hot Ones and Sneaker Shopping. After airing on Fuse, episodes will be available across Complex’s digital platforms.

Meanwhile, Fuse, which targets multicultural 18-34 audiences, will also create and deliver Fuse-branded original shortform content for distribution on Complex Networks platforms.

This will include content related to Fuse series such as The Hollywood Puppet Sh!t Show and the forthcoming Trivial Takedown, as well as new original productions about music culture.

Financial terms of the deal, which will also see the two companies’ advertising sales teams jointly market and sell cross-platform packages to advertisers, were not disclosed.

“By combining our complementary strengths and platforms, we can deliver unparalleled value to viewers, advertisers and distributors through our innovative collaboration,” said Fuse Media CEO Michael Schwimmer.
