The UK prodco behind CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden is working on a new feature documentary about Matt and Luke Goss, the twin brothers who led 1980s pop group Bros.

Fulwell 73 and director David Soutar are collaborating on the project, with finance coming from Julian Bird at Lorton Entertainment.

Bros’s debut album, Push, went seven times platinum in the UK and topped the charts in 20 other countries.

Their career reached its peak when they played in front of 77,000 people at London’s Wembley Stadium, in what was one of the first concerts to appear on pay-per-view TV.

But as the brothers celebrated their latest number-one album, they learned that their younger sister had been killed by a drunk driver.

Infighting, legal action by other band members and death threats followed as the group imploded. However, they reunited following the death of the Goss brothers’ mother, and their forthcoming comeback show at the O2 Arena in London sold out in seven seconds.

The film will feature interviews with the brothers and other key figures to chart the successes and personal tragedies of the band.

Soutar has previously worked on Harry Styles: Behind the Album and I Am Bolt. Fulwell 73, meanwhile, has produced feature docs In the Hands of the Gods with Lionsgate plus The Class of 92 and I Am Bolt with Universal.

The company was set up in 2005 by Ben Winston, Leo Pearlman (who will produce the Bros project), Ben Turner and Gabe Turner. In January it was announced that Corden had joined the firm as a fifth partner.
