Fremantle preps Mipcom formats

Recently rebranded Fremantle is preparing an array of formats for Mipcom next month, including a show about footballers taking on challenges and one about stock car racing.

Match Fit is from Fremantle-owned Talkback and sees a team of former sporting legends take on a series of challenges to help them get back into shape.

The Big Race, meanwhile, sees four celebrities join four stock car racing families as they attempt to build a car together and teach the celebrity everything they know. A race in the final series will decide the champion.

Also on the Fremantle slate is The Greatest Dancer, produced in partnership with UK prodco Thames and Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment, commissioned by BBC1 in the UK.

It follows contestants as they attempt to first impress a hidden audience before joining established dancers who will help them learn a variety of different styles in a bid to be crowned the winner.

Rob Clark, director of global entertainment at Fremantle, said the format would offer “dramatic auditions, incredible challenges, remarkable live performances, and heart-warming moments.”
