Colette Foster launched Full Fat TV earlier this year and will focus on making factual entertainment and feature formats.

FremantleMedia now holds a 25% minority stake with an option to increase its share in the future.

Prior to launching the indie, Foster was joint MD at Endemol’s Remarkable TV, where she launched and oversaw more than 20 factual brands including Supersize vs Superskinny, Gok’s Fashion Fix, Secret Eaters, Bodyshockers, The House that £100K Built, Restoration Home and Freak Like Me.

Before joining Endemol, Foster developed and executive produced 10 Years Younger, Embarrassing Illnesses and How To Look Good Naked.

FremantleMedia Global CEO Cecile Frot-Coutaz said of the deal: “Colette has a strong vision of what she wants to achieve and she is one of the most successful and respected creatives in the UK. Full Fat TV is a great complement to our existing portfolio and we’re looking forward to working with her on what will be a great slate of programming.”

FremantleMedia has made numerous investments recently, including taking stakes in entertainment and scripted indies Naked Entertainment and Corona Pictures in the UK; factual company No Pictures Please in the Netherlands; scripted outfits Fontaram and Kwai in France; and Wildside, the Italian company behind forthcoming drama The Young Pope.
