Fox unwraps second Gifted season

The Gifted is about children who develop mutant powers

Fox has renewed its family adventure series The Gifted for a second season ahead of its two hour first season finale on January 15.

Set in Marvel’s X-Men universe, The Gifted is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Marvel Television.

Matt Nix (Burn Notice); Bryan Singer (the X-Men franchise); Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men: Apocalypse, X-Men: Days of Future Past); Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Apocalypse, X-Men: Days of Future Past); and Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory serve as executive producers.

The Gifted is based around an ordinary suburban family whose lives change forever when they discover their children have developed mutant powers.

The two-hour season finale, entitled eXtraction/X-roads, will air on Monday January 15 at 20.00 ET/PT on Fox. Garret Dillahunt guests stars as character Dr Campbell.
