Fox UK finds Wolf Creek

The Wolf Creek film and series both star John Jarratt

Fox UK has acquired rights to psychological thriller Wolf Creek, the first original series from Australian SVoD start-up Stan.

The 6×60’ show, based on Greg Mclean’s two movies loosely based on the true story of a serial killer who captured and tortured three backpackers in the Outback, will debut on Fox UK on August 30.

The channel acquired rights from Zodiak Rights, the distribution arm of Banijay Group, whose Screentime subsidiary produced the series together with Emu Creek Pictures with backing from Screen Australia and the South Australian Film Corporation.

The deal was brokered by Fox UK head of programming Toby Etheridge and Zodiak Rights VP of sales and acquisitions Chris Stewart.
