Fox taps BBCWW, Endemol execs

Fox Networks Group Content Distribution (FNGCD) has expanded its team with six new appointments, including staff from BBC Worldwide (BBCWW) and Endemol Shine Group.

Manuel Miguez has been named exec director of sales for Latin America and US Hispanic and will be based in Miami. He joins from BBCWW, where he worked across content sales in Latin America and US Hispanic, and before that was director of sales planning for Sony Pictures Television Distribution.

BBCWW recently revealed it was moving away from channel distribution in Latin America and focusing its efforts on programme sales, with three networks set to close in the region as a result.

Joining Miguez in the region will be Carolina Lozano, based in Colombia, who most recently served as a sales executive at local broadcaster RCN and is now sales associate manager for FNGCD in Latin America.

Meanwhile, JeeYoung Lee joins from Endemol Shine Group as executive director sales for Japan, Korea and regional formats Asia. She has previously worked for Shine and Viacom, amongst others, and is based in South Korea, reporting to Singapore-based Julius Toh, VP of content distribution for Asia Pacific.

Located in Rome, Maria Grazia Ursino becomes executive sales director for Italy, Spain and Portugal, having worked for more than a decade at SPT for Italian-speaking Europe. She reports to Peter Grant, FNGCD’s VP of sales for Western, Southern Europe and global SVoD.

Elsewhere former Endemol Shine exec Tracy Davis takes the new role of associate director, deal and rights management at FNGCD, based in London, while Tristan Oarton joins as VP of finance, having joined from Universal, where he was VP of financial planning and analysis. His new remit includes overseeing all financial planning and reporting for FNGCD.

Finally, Joanna Rowley has been upped to executive director of sales for Northern Europe and Africa, while Magdalena Szwedkowicz becomes VP of sales for CEE and MENA, managing sales activity and a regional team based in London, Moscow, Warsaw and Istanbul.

Prentiss Fraser, FNGCD’s exec VP and MD, said: “With these new people now in place and two of our long-serving team members recognised for their contribution, we are firing on all cylinders.”

Last month FNG appointed the chief content and business development officer at Tata Sky to oversee the distribution of its networks in Europe and Africa.
