Fox summons up Lucifer order

Lucifer

Fox has added nine episodes to Lucifer’s second-season order

Fox has ordered a full second season of Lucifer, its drama based on the eponymous DC Comics character who helps  Los Angeles police to punish criminals.

Lucifer began airing on Fox in the US last year and is produced by Warner Bros TV, DC Comics and the production company of movie and TV producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

The network has added nine episodes to its initial second-season order, bringing the total number of episodes in this run to 22.

“Lucifer continues to deliver with great blasts of dark humour and ambitious storytelling. The show has turned out to be a true wicked pleasure, the perfect companion to Gotham,” said David Madden, president of entertainment at Fox Broadcasting Company.

The series is executive-produced by Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson. Len Wiseman serves as director and executive producer.
