Fox orders Filthy Sexy series

Fox is preparing a half-hour comedy titled Filthy Sexy Teen$ with YouTube network Fullscreen as it ramps up its multi-platform programming development slate.

The eight-part series follows two wealthy teen siblings, thought to be lost at sea, who return home and attempt to re-climb the high-school social ladder.

Created by Curtis Gwinn (The Walking Dead), Paul Scheer (Fresh Off the Boat) and Jonathan Stern (Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp), the series will have its global premiere on Fullscreen in North America before airing on Fox.

Fox is working with Keith Quinn and Stern to develop numerous comedies via the latter’s Abominable Pictures outfit, which will produce Filthy Sexy Teen$.

Other series in development include Drive Share, about a group of drivers as they shuttle strangers, and their problems, around town; Criminal Records, about a record label that has taken it upon itself to fix the music industry; and Grand Marquee, which follows an old-school rapper struggling both to regain relevancy in the hip-hop world and to maintain a relationship with his son.
