Ase Ytreland oversaw an array of Fox’s networks in the region, including Nat Geo Channel and the company’s main entertainment channel. She oversaw the company’s activities in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

She was responsible for distribution, programming, marketing and ad sales for brands including National Geographic Channel and National Geographic Wild, as well as Fox Life and Fox Crime in the Baltic.

Ytreland’s next move is not yet known. Her departure date from Fox is yet to be confirmed and a replacement is being sought, according to local reports.

Before Fox, Ytreland was EMEA executive director of affiliate sales at US sports channels ESPN and also worked for firms including CNBC and Disney.

Earlier this year Fox Networks Group (FNG) in the US discontinued its Fox International Channels (FIC) brand amid a reorganisation of its international television business.

FNG handed responsibility for FIC to its regional hubs in Europe, Latin America and Asia, with Jan Koeppen, Carlos Martinez and Zubin Gandevia taking charge of each unit as president respectively.
