Fox lengthens Love Connection

Love Connection is hosted by Andy Cohen

US network Fox has extended its rebooted version of dating show Love Connection into a second season.

The format is based on the original series that ran between 1983 and 1994 and features hopeful singles who tell the show’s host, Andy Cohen, what they are looking for in a partner.

They are then taken on three blind dates before returning to the studio to tell Cohen how their meetings went.

The show, which was rebooted with a 15-episode season earlier this year, is produced by Warner Horizon Unscripted & Alternative Television and US prodco Next Entertainment in association with Telepictures Productions.

Mike Fleiss, Martin Hilton, James Breen and Jason Ehrlich serve as executive producers, with Cohen as co-executive producer.

Rob Wade, president of alternative entertainment and specials at Fox Broadcasting Company, said Cohen’s “genuine level of interest” in the couples “enables him to elicit both touching and hilariously awkward dating moments from them.”
