Fox goes for Adult Swim in UK

Fox in the UK has bolstered its animated and live-action comedy output by taking a branded programming block from Turner Broadcasting System network Adult Swim.

The block will air every Thursday from 23.00, starting from September 10, with animated comedies Rick & Morty and Mr Pickles first to air.

Other shows include Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and The Venture Bros, as well as Black Jesus and Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell.

Humphrey Black, VP of media distribution at Turner, described the deal as a “key part of our broader strategy for bringing Adult Swim to audiences in Europe across multiple platforms.”

It’s not the first time an Adult Swim-branded block has aired on a UK channel. A similar deal was agreed with former Living TV Group network Bravo in 2006.
