US network Fox is adapting its own version of the Australian crime miniseries Jack Irish.
The US show is being produced by Chernin Entertainment in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television and written by Seamus Kevin Fahey (Spartacus).
The series, based on novels by Peter Temple, follows a part-time lawyer and debt collector who is trying to recover his life after his wife is murdered.
The Aussie version, which aired on the ABC, was produced by Essential Media and Entertainment, which set up an LA-based office last year [1].
Essential previously produced a US version of drama series Rake, which also originated in Australia, for Fox.
