Food Network signs up comic cook

Food Network in the US has ordered a new culinary series fronted by stand-up comic and blogger Daphne Brogdon.

Daphne Dishes, produced by Concentric Entertainment, follows the TV personality as she cooks up meals for a variety of social occasions, including birthdays, girls’ nights in and family dinners.

The 6×30’ series will premiere on Scripps Networks Interactive’s channel on Sunday January 4.

As a comedian, Brogdon has performed at the Riviera Comedy Club in Las Vegas and the Improv and Comedy Store in Hollywood. She is also the founder of Coolmom.com, a daily vlog for mothers.
