FME brings Berman to kids’ division

FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has appointed Andrew Berman as VP of international distribution for its children’s and family entertainment unit.

Based in Los Angeles, Berman will report to divisional chief Sander Schwartz, with a remit to identify new properties to add to the FME kids portfolio.

Berman most recently oversaw media consultancy firm ARB International and counts roles at Sega’s Japanese animation subsidiary TMS Entertainment and IDT Entertainment among his 20 years of experience.

He’s the latest addition to the FME kids team, following the appointment of former Nickelodeon and Scholastic exec Alyssa Cooper Sapire, who joined as VP of programming in February.

FME’s children’s division was set up in late 2009 and has so far brought titles to market including My Babysitter’s a Vampire, Tree Tu Tom, Really Me and upcoming project Monsuno.
