Fix & Foxi heads for Africa

German media group Your Family Entertainment and the My TV platform in Sub-Saharan Africa are preparing to launch a local version of kids’ channel Fix & Foxi.

Branded as My TV Toonz, the family channel will air in English across the region on My TV’s platform.

The channel will air a blend of 2d, CGI animated and live-action shows 24/7 using content from the Fix & Foxi channel, which launched in the US and Latin America at the turn of the year.

That channel is a joint venture between Your Family Entertainment and US Hispanic broadcaster Alterna’TV and is fronted by the characters Fix and Foxi, twin brother foxes created by the late German comic artist and publisher Rolf Kauka.
