Final Episodes finds buyers

Broadcasters around the world have picked up the fifth and final season of Showtime comedy series Episodes, due to debut next year.

BBC Worldwide has pre-bought rights for its channels in Africa and the show will also air on BBC2 in the UK.

Other buyers include Fox for Asia, Benelux and Portugal; ABC and Stan in Australia; HBO for CEE; Yes DBS in Israel; Sky New Zealand; SBS Discovery in Norway; and Canal+ in Spain.

Showtime announced earlier this year that the transatlantic comedy, starring Matt LeBlanc, Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig, would be coming to an end.

Produced by Hat Trick and Crane Klarik Productions, the final 7×30’ season is in production and, according to the former’s distribution arm, has now been pre-sold into more than 100 countries.
