FIC installs Iberia MD

Fox International Channels (FIC) has promoted its chief operating officer in Southern Europe and Africa to the role of MD for FIC in Spain and Portugal.

Vera Pinto Pereira joined FIC in January last year. Her new job will give her “a more central, active role in shaping the future of FIC channel brands in Iberia,” said Adam Theiler, executive VP of FIC Southern Europe and Africa.

Prior to FIC, Pinto Pereira was at Portugal Telecom’s pay TV service Meo for six years, where she launched new pay TV channels and created Portugal’s first VoD service. Before that, she was TV service director at ZON Optimus (formerly TVCabo) and also founded tech consultancy firm Innovagency.
