Nat Geo goes wild in new countries

National Geographic Channels International has agreed carriage deals for its Nat Geo Wild network in Latin America and Australia.

The 24-hour channel will be available from November 1 in Latin America, in both high definition and standard definition.

In Australia, it will be distributed on the Foxtel and Austar platforms from November 15.

The channel's debut Australian line-up will include blue-chip six-part series Wild Russia, Orca Killing School and Frogs: The Thin Green Line, which explores the environmental crisis facing Australia's amphibians.

In Latin America, the schedule will include Lion Army, Predator CSI, Dolphin Army, Monkey Thieves, Animal Rescue Squad and Living Edens.
