Falco wakes up to AXN

Sony will air crime series Falco on its network AXN across Central and Eastern Europe after securing pay TV rights from distributor Red Arrow International.

The first two seasons of Falco will air on Sony Pictures Television Networks’ AXN in 15 CEE territories including Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

Falco follows a young detective who falls into a coma after being shot in the head and wakes up after 20 years to find his life irrevocably changed.

The show first aired on TF1 in France and has also been picked up by Mediaset in Italy. It is based on The Last Cop, which was the most successful crime series on German channel ProSiebenSat.1, which owns Red Arrow.

A local version is also being developed in the US by Red Arrow-backed Fabrik Entertainment and Fox Television Studios for cablenet TNT.
