Canadian production duo Breakthrough Entertainment and Facet4 Media have agreed an unscripted co-development and production agreement across their lifestyle programming.

Montreal- and Toronto-based Facet4, the newly formed independent production and financing company from Stephen Greenberg, and Breakthrough will develop and produce factual-based programming, with the latter distributing internationally. The partnership has launched with two lifestyle series, Off the Eaten Path and Business Bombshells.

Nat Abraham, partner and president of worldwide distribution for Breakthrough, said the agreement would allow the firms to “co-develop and bring to the world original high-concept series programming in the much sought-after lifestyle unscripted category.”

Breakthrough has been expanding its operations over recent months, opening a US office in New York City and appointing a Sinking Ship exec as director of development and production.
