Facebook Watch sets Von Miller series

Facebook Watch has revealed its latest commission, an eight-episode comedy variety show fronted by NFL star Von Miller.

The programme, titled Von Miller’s Studio 58, will be produced by High Noon Entertainment (Fixer Upper, Cake Boss) and Von Miller Entertainment and will stream live on Watch every Wednesday.

Executive producers include Miller, Jim Berger, Scott Feeley and Scott Tomlinson (The College Humour Show, Tosh.0), who will also serve as showrunner.

The series will see Miller exploring new adventures such as wrestling alligators and driving monster trucks, interacting with his followers in real time along the way. His family and teammates will also feature.

The show will premiere on Watch on tomorrow at 17.00 PT/20.00 ET.

It’s the latest commission for the social network’s nascent video platform, which earlier this month unveiled three new commissions at Natpe Miami, as well as a talkshow fronted by actor Jada Pinkett Smith.

The commission also comes at a busy time for High Noon, which recently premiered the fifth season of Fixer Upper as well as the new instalment of Restored by the Fords, both for HGTV.

The prodco currently has 15 series in production and 25 pilots for the 2018-19 season across networks and platforms including Facebook, HGTV, Food, Discovery, Lifetime, History, Nat Geo Wild, Travel, Animal Planet, DIY and Discovery Español.
