Exec producer Henshaw signs with Ample

US prodco Ample Entertainment has agreed an overall deal with UK executive producer John Henshaw.

Henshaw has a history with Ample, having served as exec producer on Murder in the Heartland for Investigation Discovery and Cooper’s Treasure for Discovery.

Under the deal, Henshaw will create, develop and produce unscripted programming with a focus on high-end documentary series in the US, Canada and the UK.

He will be based at Ample’s Culver City studio and work with Ari Mark and Phil Lott, co-founders and co-presidents of Ample.

Henshaw previously spent five years at Studio Lambert and All3Media producing formats such as The Pitch (AMC). He also produced the Undercover Boss (CBS) and has credits on shows such as The Runner-Up (Esquire) and Mystery Millionaire (WE tv).

Ample has 35 hours of new programming greenlit for 2018 and most recently produced the finale of Murder in the Heartland for ID. Since launching less than three years ago, the company has produced more than 40 hours of programming.
