Ex-Talpa exec sails into 3Rivers

Dutch Media consultancy 3Rivers has appointed a former Talpa Media and Endemol executive as an associate partner.

Mark Ramakers, who was previously chief financial officer at Endemol and Talpa, will assist 3Rivers across M&A and strategy development, having most recently assisted in the restructuring of LA-based film producer Exclusive Media.

3Rivers operates throughout the Benelux region, Germany, Scandinavia and the UK and was established in 2008 by Oege Boonstra and Meindert Landsmeer. It offers consultancy services to media and entertainment firms with clients including SBS (in both the Netherlands and Belgium), ProSiebenSat.1, Endemol and All3Media.

The firm, which assisted with Warner Bros’ acquisition of Shed Media and also carried out the strategic review of indie Monkey Kingdom ahead of its sale to NBCUniversal, last year appointed Viasat UK exec Beata Hegedus to head the company’s UK office.
