Duncan Gray has launched Twenty Six 03

Former Princess Productions creative chief and ITV controller of entertainment Duncan Gray has launched a format-focused indie that is set to secure its first commission.

Twenty Six 03 is wholly owned by Gray and will focus on entertainment programming. He said the fledging prodco’s first order was “on the verge” of being announced, describing it as a “big and exciting commission.”

Gray’s previous roles include a stint as VP of alternative series and specials at ABC Entertainment in the US, moving back to the UK in 2006 to join ITV, before moving on to Sky1 as entertainment chief, commissioning shows including A League of Their Own and Got to Dance.

He added that ownership of Twenty Six 03 meant he would be able to “concentrate on high-quality programming without any of the margin and distribution issues that get in the way of creativity in some bigger content businesses.”

Gray left Shine Group’s Princess Productions last year amid the merger with Endemol and Core Media.
