The firm, led by MD and former head of BBC drama production Kate Harwood, has joined forces with Alan Gasmer and Peter Jaysen of Veritas Entertainment to bring three of French’s bestselling books to the international television market. No broadcaster is yet attached.

French’s books, which centre on the fictional Dublin Murder Squad, have sold in excess of five million copies worldwide.

The works to be adapted are In the Woods, The Likeness and Faithful Place. Together they have spent a collective 75 weeks in the New York Times bestseller charts. Harwood, Gasmer and Jaysen will all exec produce.

Euston Films relaunched in September 2014 as a new label within FremantleMedia UK. Veritas Entertainment is a film, television and branded entertainment company founded by Gasmer and Jaysen in 2012.
