The Eurovision Song Contest grand final will air live in the US for the first time, thanks to a deal brokered by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

Logo, part of Viacom’s Music and Entertainment Group, will carry the EBU-organised event on Saturday May 14.

Last week, C21 revealed Swedish pubcaster SVT had partnered with ex-Shine Nordics exec Simon Romanus’s fledgling company to make this year’s contest available in virtual reality.

CCTV in China is also due to air the song competition, which is now in its 61st year.
