Euro producers put on Pants format

Warner in Denmark is among a host of producers in European territories to have picked up a comedy entertainment format from TF1 Group-backed Newen Distribution.

Pants on Fire (7×40’) has also been optioned in Italy by Endemol Shine Group and in Belgium by Zodiak.

The format has already been acquired by FremantleMedia in Australia, while firms from other territories including the US are currently in discussions.

Originally produced by Amsterdam-based CCCP for pubcaster NPO3 in the Netherlands, the show pits two teams against each other in trying to convince a celebrity jury they are telling the truth with their stories.
