Escapade takes CBBC’s Arctic trek

Australia’s Escapade Media has picked up worldwide distribution rights to a UK documentary about a teenage boy’s journey to the Arctic.

Teenage Ice Trekker (1×50′) was commissioned by UK children’s channel CBBC for its My Life doc strand and was produced by Brighton-based Moon Studio.

It follows 14-year-old Jamie on a gruelling Arctic trek with his father, who has an eye condition that will cause him to go blind in the next five to 10 years.

The distribution deal excludes the UK, where the doc is yet to air.

Escapade Media, was launched last year by Natalie Lawley, Anthony Mrsnik and Hamish Lewis – three former executives at the distribution arm of Aussie pubcaster ABC.
