Erlicht, Van Amburg stick with Sony

Sony Pictures Television’s (SPT) US programming co-presidents Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg have agreed to extend their tenure at the US studio.

Erlicht and Van Amburg, who have been SPT’s co-presidents of US programming and production since 2005, have bolstered creative talent at the studio with heavyweight showrunners such as David Shore (House), Shawn Ryan (The Shield) and Vince Gilligan (Breaking Bad).

It is believed the duo have signed a three-year extension with Sony.

Sony recently received straight-to-series orders for AMC’s Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul, Starz’s Outlander, Syfy’s Helix, CBS’s Battle Creek and an as-yet untitled drama from Netflix.

The firm is also having a strong current season with Showtime’s Master of Sex, NBC’s The Blacklist and ABC’s The Goldbergs performing well.
