Broadcasters in France, the UK and Latin America have picked up investigative procedural Conviction from transatlantic distributor Entertainment One (eOne).

Conviction, from eOne-owned The Mark Gordon Company and ABC Studios, is a legal drama that explores lawyers attempting to overturn wrongful convictions.

Sky Living in the UK, France’s TF1 and Fox Networks Group Latin America have all acquired the show, which was co-created by writer Liz Friedman (Elementary) and director Liz Friedlander (The Following).

Stuart Baxter, president at sales arm eOne Television International, said the sales showed international buyers still want “strong procedural shows from the US networks.”

The series started airing on ABC in the US and CTV in Canada this month and is sold globally by eOne. Atwell will be attending Mipcom in Cannes in October.
