eOne adds CAA exec for strategy

Global producer and distributor Entertainment One (eOne) has named a former agent and exec at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) as chief strategy officer.

Peter Micelli

Peter Micelli, who was previously eOne president Mark Gordon’s agent, will be tasked with steering the company’s TV and digital content businesses and drawing on his relationships in the industry to forge new professional partnerships.

Additionally, Micelli will devise eOne’s TV strategy, including identifying possible mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to taking up the newly created position at eOne, Micelli was co-head of TV at CAA and represented Gordon’s company, which eOne acquired a month ago in a US$209m deal.

He also acted for entrepreneur Molly Bloom’s memoir Molly’s Game, the basis for the Hollywood film that Gordon produced, and packaged Gordon’s straight-to-series projects The Rookie and Designated Survivor for ABC.

“Pete was my agent for four years, during which he helped me grow The Mark Gordon Company into a trusted destination for producers, talent and their passion projects,” Gordon said. “He is an expert at building media companies to become leaders in an increasingly digital and global landscape.”
