Endemol Shine’s Music quiz travels

Broadcasters in the Netherlands and Italy have ordered a musical quiz format from producer and distributor Endemol Shine Group.

Rai1 in Italy and RTL4 in the Netherlands will air local versions of Big Music Quiz, which was originally created by Shine France. It features celebrities taking on a series of musical challenges such as listening to sped-up tunes and singing one song while listening to another.

A four-part primetime run will air in Italy in December while an eight-episode series will broadcast in the Netherlands next year. Both are being produced by Endemol Shine.

The format has been rolled out in five territories, having recently premiered in Australia and Germany on Seven Network and RTL respectively.

Meanwhile Endemol Shine gameshow Locked has landed a second series on Israel’s Reshet. The format, which sees contestants use skill and strategy to open an increasing number of locked doors, is making its international debut at Mipcom this month.

Also on the slate is The Society Game, a reality format developed by Endemol Shine Group and CJ E&M. The first series will premiere on primetime in South Korea on CJ’s flagship network TVN next month.
