Nick Mather will focus on the origination and development of IP across multiple platforms, looking for  commissioning opportunities with UK broadcasters and overseeing the Central Creative Team.

He will be supported by current head of entertainment development Jamie Ormerod, who is himself being promoted to head of entertainment and formats within the team.

Mather is credited with co-creating hit BBC1 gameshow Pointless and The Singer Takes it All for Channel 4.

During his time as MD of Remarkable he has overseen Two Tribes for BBC2 and Ejector Seat for ITV, among many other shows.

Mather initially came through the Central Creative Team, a unit of development execs that also houses the creative intern scheme, before leaving for the BBC in 2000.

He returned to Endemol UK in 2005 and was made joint MD of Remarkable in 2013. He remained with the company during last year’s merger with Shine and Core Media.
