Emmering to exit WBITVP Netherlands

Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP) in the Netherlands has undergone a reshuffle after it emerged MD Sander Emmering is set to leave.

Michiel Van Der Hoeven

Michiel Van Der Hoeven will lead all non-scripted activities at the company, as MD of non-scripted, and Nelsje Musch-Elzinga will oversee all business affairs for both WBITVP NL and subsidiary BlazHoffski Productions.

Der Hoeven will take over from Emmering, who will step down on September 1 to pursue new opportunities. Musch-Elzinga will expand her current remit as business director to cover both the BlazHoffski and WBITVP NL businesses.

“Michiel and Nelsje each have excellent track records in the industry at large and for Warner Bros,” said Ronald Goes, executive VP and head of WBITVP. “It’s always a real plus to be able to grow talent and give greater responsibilities from within the company.”

WBITVP produces local scripted and non-scripted programming through its network of local production operations in 14 countries, across the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Its formats include The Bachelor, Little Big Shots, 500 Questions, First Dates, Impractical Jokers and Who Do You Think You Are?.

The news comes soon after US telco AT&T was given the go-ahead for its US$85.4bn acquisition of Time Warner, parent company of Warner Bros, HBO, Turner and CNN. The new company is now named Warner Media.
