Eleven’s Pullen returns to Dragonfly

Endemol Shine Group-owned factual prodco Dragonfly has hired an executive producer from factual drama specialist Eleven.

Tom Pullen

Tom Pullen, currently Eleven’s head of factual development, is joining Dragonfly next month to drive new business, generate programme ideas and executive produce new projects.

It’s the first hire made since Richard Bond was hired from Discovery-owned Raw TV by Dragonfly as creative director at the turn of the year.

Prior to his role at Eleven, which is known for Sky’s The Enfield Haunting, Pullen spent three years at Raw as development executive and producer and director of documentaries including The Missing for Channel 4.

The move represents something of a full circle for Pullen who was at Dragonfly between 2010 and 2013 in various producer, director and development roles on series including Channel 4’s One Born Every Minute.

Bond said: “Tom is a hugely creative programme maker with a passion for finding new ways of storytelling. Whether it be using technology to gain a deeper documentary insight, blending genres, or developing new filming techniques, he has always impressed me with his drive to innovate and this makes him a perfect fit for Dragonfly.”

Pullen said of his appointment: “I’m delighted to be back working alongside Richard and returning to Dragonfly at such an exciting time in its development.  He’s a brilliant creative who shares my love of factual innovation, and I can’t wait for us to come up with the next generation of truly distinctive and pioneering programming.”
