Electus looks to build Complex blocks

Complex Networks’ Why We Fight looks at fighting championships

MIPCOM: US-based distributor Electus International has picked up seven titles from digital media company Complex Networks to shop globally.

The distribution arm of US prodco Electus will now seek partnerships with broadcasters and platforms to create Complex programming blocks as well as individual licence deals.

The slate is led by Why We Fight, which goes behind the scenes of competitions such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship to explore the styles and motivations of the competitors.

Fashion series Sneaker Shopping and Complex Closets are also included, along with music series Magnum Opus and survival show Going Cambo.

I Got Wrecked enters the world of bull riding, while For The Win is a road trip series fronted by social influencer and Ultimate Disc League champion Brodie Smith.

The deal was signed at Mipcom by Electus’s president of worldwide television and international John Pollak and Complex Networks’ senior VP of content Myles O’Connell.
