Electus, DiGa unveil new projects

NATPE NEWS: Ben Silverman’s production company Electus and MTV alumni Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley have unveiled details for their new company DiGa and several new projects.

New York-based DiGa will create, develop and produce programming across all platforms in partnership with Electus, as per an agreement inked with the MTV duo when they quit the youth channel last October.

DiGa projects that the trio spoke about at Natpe today include: a comedy format from Nick Cannon’s NCredible Entertainment starring Amanda Diva; an interactive fashion series from Fashion for Dummies author Jill Martin; and three series with Jackhole Industries, the production company of Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Carolla and Daniel Kellison.

DiGa also has a number of scripted and reality concepts in active development.

The start-up also announced the appointment of two members of its executive management team. Mike Powers has been named creative executive, responsible for managing production and development for all DiGa ongoing projects. Scott Silberman, meanwhile, is executive in charge of production.

DiSanto and Gateley will continue to have a strong relationship with MTV Networks through multiple series development commitments, as well as executive producing the upcoming scripted MTV series Teen Wolf.
