Eccho resonates with Mediapro exec

Scandinavia-based distributor Eccho Rights has hired a director of coproductions and scripted from Spanish media giant Mediapro.

Laura Miñarro joins from Mediapro’s Imagina where she led the sales division at Imagina International Sales as general manager. She was also VP of international coproduction and business development at Globomedia.

Miñarro has been hired by Eccho to boost the distributor’s international business development alongside head of Lat Am and Iberia Barbora Susterova in the company’s Madrid office.

She will oversee the firm’s international coproductions, with specific focus on the Spanish-speaking world.

Miñarro said: “As well as growing international sales of some amazing series, Eccho Rights is now building a formidable group of people with huge experience on the coproduction side as well, and the future for bringing together international producers looks very bright.”
