Super Scary Plane Landings is being shopped in Cannes this week by Drive co-founders Lilla Hurst and Ben Barrett, who moved their coproduction fixing agency into distribution earlier this year.

The 1×60’ doc, produced by NBC’s Peacock Productions for Channel 5 in the UK, has also sold to NTV in Germany, TV2 in Denmark, MTV in Sweden and RTL in the Netherlands. Discussions are also at an advance stage with a US broadcaster.

In related news, BBC Worldwide has pre-bought The World’s Deadliest Weather (13×60’) for its BBC Earth channel in South Africa, Poland, the Nordics, Asia and CEE.

The series is a coproduction between Drive and Back2Back Productions and features extraordinary footage and first-person testimony of extreme weather events.

Drive’s fledgling distribution business recently secured sales of Building Star Trek (1×60’) to ZDF in Germany and Australian pubcaster SBS while Netflix picked up First Contact: Lost Tribe of the Amazon (1×60’).
