Dinotrux will air on the channel

Qatar’s BeIn Network has forged a partnership with DreamWorks Animation (DWA) that will see the latter’s animation channel become available across the Middle East and North Africa.

The 24-hour DreamWorks Channel will launch on Monday in Arabic, with English also offered.

The programming line-up includes DreamWork’s Dragons: Race to the Edge and Dinotrux, DreamWork’s first original series. All Hail King Julien, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, and Dawn of the Croods will also be available.

The DreamWorks-branded channel was launched in Asia last year, heralding the US studio’s long-awaited entry into the channels business.

Yousef Mohammed Al-Obaidly, exec VP of beIn Media Group, said his company was preparing for more partnerships with DreamWorks, although details weren’t forthcoming.

Eric Ellenbogen, co-head of international TV for DWA, added: “beIn Media Group is bringing many of our popular original series together in one amazing place for families in the Middle East and North Africa region to enjoy whenever they want.”

The announcement follows similar roll-outs onto BeIn by US channel operators Scripps and AMC earlier this week.
