The company, launched in April by former Atlantique Productions creative director Patrick Nebout and Beta CEO Jan Mojto, has appointed Mia Sohlman as executive producer.

Sohlman most recently co-created and produced Blue Eyes (Blå Ögon), the SVT political thriller that charts the rise of the far right in Europe, together with Zoula Pitsiava.

She spent 10 years in a variety of post-production, assistant producer and producer roles at Strix Drama, working on seven feature-length projects including the film series Johan Falk.

Blue Eyes first aired in Sweden in 2014 and has since been licensed to more than a dozen territories and numerous SVoD outlets, including Netflix and Channel 4’s Walter Presents and More4 in the UK.

Sohlman joins Dramacorp as the company prepares its inaugural slate of projects. Nebout described Sohlman as “one of Sweden’s most exciting up-and-coming producers.”

“We share the same vision on the kind of high-concept projects Dramacorp is set to develop and produce,” he added.

Midnight Sun, Nebout’s major focus during his time at Atlantique and prior to that at Nice Drama, is due to debut later this year on SVT and France’s Canal+.
