Drama Summit lines up TV scribe Jordan

CONTENT LONDON: British television writer, showrunner and Red Planet Pictures CEO Tony Jordan has joined the line-up for the International Drama Summit, part of C21’s Content London.

The writer, who cut his teeth on EastEnders, Minder and Eldorado, will discuss new projects in development, including Hooten & The Lady for Sky1, Motown-inspired musical drama Stop! In The Name of Love and a biopic about Carry On star Dame Barbara Windsor, the latter two for the BBC. He will also talk about his approach to the craft of television writing.

Jordan’s recent projects include Dickensian, a new take on the world and characters of Charles Dickens, and Caribbean-set murder series Death in Paradise, produced by Red Planet.

His other credits include Life on Mars and The Passing Bells, both for BBC1, Hustle, The Nativity and The Ark.
