Drama chief jumps ship for Lagardère

MIPTV: France’s Lagardère Entertainment has poached the CEO of Swedish prodco Nice Drama to run its international drama business.

Patrick Nebout joins Lagardère subsidiary Atlantique Productions as executive producer, international drama, reporting to Olivier Bibas, MD of Atlantique Productions (Borgia, Jo, Transporter), the group’s international drama arm.

He replaces Klaus Zimmerman, who left six months ago and recently joined US indie Dynamic TV.

Nebout will be in charge of “putting together strategic partnerships with European producers in order to develop new drama projects, as well as extending relationships in Nordic countries,” the group said in a statement.

Lagardère Entertainment is co-developing three projects with Nice Drama, including Jours Polaires (Polar Days) for Canal+ in France and SVT in Sweden.

Last year, Lagardère was among the bidders interested in acquiring Nice Drama’s parent Nice Entertainment.
