Dr Seuss’s Cat roams Mid East, Africa

International broadcasters including Sony have acquired episodes of The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About That! from the sales arm of Canadian firm Portfolio Entertainment.

Sony picked four one-hour The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! movies

Sony Pictures Television Networks in the UK and Africa has picked up the first two seasons of the series, which is based on the books by Dr Seuss (Theodor Geisel).

The broadcaster has also taken four one-hour The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! movies, each of which covers camping, space, Halloween and Christmas.

In the Middle East and North Africa, E-Junior and Discovery Kids have also picked up the movies, with Discovery Kids adding The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! season three (20×30′) to its line-up as well.

Other deals include MiniMini+ in Poland, which has taken season three, and Irish pubcaster TG4, which has picked up season one and The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About Christmas.

Elsewhere, Middle Eastern broadcaster MBC has acquired the second season for its SVoD service Gobo.net, while Taiwan’s Horng En Culture has taken the SVoD rights to all four movies.
