DR enters Fremantle’s Recording Studio

The Recording Studio was piloted by BBC1

MIPCOM: Danish public broadcaster DR has picked up local remake rights to a FremantleMedia format that gives people the chance to record the most important song in their lives.

The Recording Studio has previously been given a pilot commission by BBC1 in the UK having been created by FremantleMedia-owned UK prodco Boundless.

An eight-part Danish series is now in the works for DR1 at FremantleMedia’s Danish prodco Blu.

The show follows ordinary people who are given the opportunity to step into a recording studio and capture a song that means a lot to them.

FremantleMedia hold the global format rights for The Recording Studio and is launching the show at Mipcom.
