Dori romcom lands on Planeta

MIPCOM: De Agostini-owned Spanish channel Planeta Junior has picked up Dori Media Group’s hit Argentinian romantic comedy Esperanza Mia (My Lovely Hope).

Esperanza Mia debuted on Canal 13

The series, a coproduction with Argentinian prodco Pol-Ka Producciones, with whom Dori Media has an ongoing partnership, launched on local network Canal 13 earlier this year to impressive ratings, winning its 21.00 slot. The channel has bought 180 episodes of the series.

Esperanza Mia has also been picked up by as-yet unnamed buyers in Israel, Indonesia and Vietnam, and is set to air in both Israel and Indonesia next month.

Dori holds exclusive worldwide distribution rights to the series and format.
