Dori preps romcom, reality for Cannes

Israeli distributor Dori Media is lining up a range of formats to take to Mipcom next month, including romantic comedy Ciega a Citas (Date Blind) and reality show Power Couple.

Ciega a Citas tells the story of a single woman who bets with her mother that she will be able to find a genuine boyfriend before her sister’s wedding. The show first aired on Mediaset España’s network Cuatro and is produced by Big Bang Media.

Primetime format Power Couple explores how eight couples react when they move into a villa for six weeks and face extreme challenges to test how well they know each other. It aired on Channel 10 in Israel and has already been sold globally, including in Brazil, France and Germany.

Dori is also selling Tedy Productions’ teen format The Surfers, a scripted show about a group of adolescents who set up a surfing club on a deserted and cursed beach, along with teen reality show Boys vs Girls, from Dori Media Darset.

The company’s slate also includes street gameshow Billy the Board, which allows people to earn money while waiting for the bus or train, and trivia gameshow Famous Face.

The show is a spin-off from format Smart Face, which has been broadcast in more than 30 countries including Germany, Spain, Argentina, Brazil and Portugal.
