Dogwoof makes it Under the Wire

London-based documentary distributor Dogwoof has acquired the international rights to feature doc Under The Wire, the latest project from The War on Democracy director Chris Martin.

Paul Conroy and Marie Colvin were caught by Syrian Army shelling

A+E Networks’ History, BBC Storyville and the BFI are already on board the doc which is being produced by Tom Brisley at UK indie Arrow Media in association with Vice Films.

Under the Wire is a powerful account of The Sunday Times war correspondent Marie Colvin and photographer Paul Conroy’s ill-fated mission to Homs, Syria, in February 2012.

Their assignment was to cover the plight of trapped Syrian civilians under siege by their own government. Colvin was killed when the international media centre was hit by Syrian Army artillery fire. Despite being critically injured, Conroy made it out alive.

Dogwoof has taken rights outside the US and UK.
